Huge, ideally sloping meadow in a basin. Be careful when grazing. If the wind is not exactly from the front, you can also start on the hills half right or left.
Do not damage pasture fences, do not chase animals!
Caution: Between the Jägerkamp and the ST 2077 pass road to the Spitzingsee district runs an unmarked avalanche blasting cableway, approx. 1.7 km long, which is stretched up to 35 m above the ground and is difficult to see from the air. To avoid accidents, pilots are strongly advised to find out the location of the cable car before taking off and to keep a safe distance!
Jägerkamp/Nagelspitz is a Hike&Fly area of the hang-gliding club Bayrischzell.
From the large landing site in Neuhaus (Schliersee) there is a climb of approx. 750 m (approx. 4 km) to the launch site.
Starting point approx. 150 meters below the Jägerkamp summit north of the Jägerbauernalm.
Entry fee (day ticket € 5,-) to be paid with Paypal (QR code on signs at the start and landing site and club homepage; also at the Jägerbauernalm if necessary)
Take-off site is located in the alpine pasture area; pilots must therefore show consideration for grazing animals.
When ascending, the gate to the pasture area must be well closed!
There is also a sign with the dairymaid's cell phone number, which pilots should make a note of.
If the pasture fence is damaged during take-off, this must be reported immediately to the dairymaid at the Jägerbauernalm, otherwise the animals will break out.
With the hike & fly trend of recent years, the pressure on the flying area has increased more and more. Some rules must therefore be strictly adhered to so that the flying area can be maintained:
- No bivouacking at the launch site, no leaving garbage behind
- No ground handling at the landing site
- leave the landing site by the shortest route, especially when the grass is high, and do not lie together in the high grass
- Land as far away as possible from grazing cows
- The Brunnhof parking lot is reserved for inn guests, please do not park there.
- No larger or guided groups
- When driving up to the hiking trail via Spitzingstraße, do not drive on the forest road, but park on Spitzingstraße.
