Beautiful winter airfield in Vinschgau. New launch site next to the newly built mountain station. Meran 2000 is actually only suitable in winter. In summer the wind is too strong there, one is partly in the lee side of the hill in front of it. In winter you can land next to the valley station Meran 2000 (slightly above, about 1-2 km of the road to Hafling) on a meadow in the slope. Attention: (as of June 2015) The horse race course in Merano may not be used for landings any more, except for revocation. The local leadership threatens pilots who land there with a report to the police.
