Morning takeoff (sometimes fed very early with the rising sun). Ideally little or no wind.
Frankly unstartable in the afternoon (the breeze rises in the valley behind the launch site).
Beware late morning when the breeze starts to pick up in the Bourg d'Oisans valley: you could find yourself downwind of Le Prégentil.
From Bourg d'Oisans, follow signs for Col d'Ornon. At La Palud, turn left towards Villard Reymond.
At the entrance to the village, take the small bypass road towards Villard Notre Dame. Park at the Col du Solude and walk to the take-off point (towards the relay antenna).
A drop-off point is possible at l\'antenne: take the pastoral road with the OBLIGATION to open and close the parks (which cross the road twice) EACH TIME YOU PASS, BOTH ON THE WAY OUT AND ON THE WAY BACK.
The parking lot may be unavailable in the event of a large number of visitors attending a local event.
To protect wildlife, the site is closed from December 1 to May 1.
Take-offs may be temporarily suspended during the period of activity:
at the request of members of the pastoral group, for example when the animals arrive on site.
at the request of the Mairie in the event of a local event (Défi des 3 Villards, for example).
If shepherds are on site, all pilots are asked to make themselves known before taking off, to ensure that the herd is not disturbed.
In the event of an incident with the herds on site (escape, broken pen, etc.), users undertake to contact the Groupement Pastoral without delay, or failing that, the Villard Reymond Town Hall.
