Fanas Paragliding Sites

From Fanas take the gondola lift to Eggli. At the mountain station, the path to the launch site is is signposted. The launch site is a moderately steep meadow. 5 minutes from the runway and restaurant; this is also where the deltas usually take off. This launch site is recommended in south-easterly, southerly and not too strong south-westerly winds. Start window: mornings The only launch site for hang-gliders. The paragliding launch site is only about 200 meters above! Interesting terrain above Fanas. It is thermally active early in the year when the first snow has melted on the southern slopes. By cable car from Fanas to the starting point (10 minutes from the mountain station). The mountain railway has only a small capacity - prior registration is recommended. Ascent costs 16 francs (as of Jan. 2011). Start above the mountain station towards the south or frequently in winter on the rib towards the north.
