In recent years, Alp Scheidegg has developed into the most attractive flying site in the greater Zurich area. The Delta Club Zuercher Oberland, which has been looking after the flying area for more than 35 years now, maintains an excellent infrastructure with a spacious take-off area right next to the Alp Scheidegg restaurant. 4 spacious landing sites are available in the valley, allowing deltas and paragliders to land safely. In Hueebli, the most frequented landing site, there are free parking spaces rented by the club. On Alp Scheidegg there are signposted pilot parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the launch site. These must be used, vehicles may not be parked in the restaurant parking lots. Due to the limited number of parking spaces, carpooling is recommended.
In order to be able to meet the various needs of the pilots in the best possible way, the club offers a:
day ticket for CHF 10, an
annual ticket for CHF 50.- as well as the existing
Club membership in the DCZO for NEW CHF 80.- (incl. JK) per year. (from 1.1.2013)
The latter offers participation in the attractive club life with various events and further training. The respective tickets can be purchased at the Restaurant Alp Scheidegg and from club members present.
The Alp Scheidegg flying area is located in the middle of TMA 2 Duebendorf, which is PERMANENTLY ACTIVE and whose LOWER LIMIT is 1700m above sea level. This means that the maximum permitted altitude of 1700m a.s.l. for hang glider pilots must be adhered to at all times, otherwise the area will be CLOSED! At certain times (Sat/Sun, MilOff) the gliding area Bachtel Ost Tel. 044 954 12 52 (duty manager Speck-Fehraltorf) can be activated. See also the notice at the launch site.
During the vegetation period, landings may only be made in the designated part of the alpine meadow.
