Norway Paragliding Sites

The landing field is located on the right side when driving from Hvittingfoss towards Kongsberg, about 1km from Hvittingfoss. You will find the road to take off about 1,5 km at RV32 from the roundabout in Hvittingfoss, direction Hof, small road on the left hand side, you can see the road barrier from the main road. The barrier is closed with a combination lock, you need the code to open it (ask local club or other pilots). The road goes all the way up to the take off, but only 4WD are allowed the last section (about 600 m). Start direction SE, S, SW. The landing might be turbulent, both thermal and mechanical. The landing field is partly surrounded by trees so during strong wind keep distance from the trees. This is one of the most popular paragliding sites in Norway and you will probably find pilots here whenever the conditions are good. There is quite a few rules for flying. The short version of the rules is that any pilot flying there regularly has to sign a contract and participate on voluntary work (5 hours a year). Any pilot just having a single flight there can do so for free. Please contact the local club or read the regulation (Norwegian only) on the web page.
