Recommended for favorable wind conditions. East take-off at the summit with a 180° turn to plunge down onto Cilaos (downwind!) Up to 15 km/h with little turbulence as you pass the cr^pete. West take-off in a gully a hundred meters down towards Cilaos. Early morning flight!

Go to Cilaos, then up the road above the thermal baths to Roche Merveilleuse. Continue to "Le Bloc" at the start of the GR. Allow 3 hours' walk to the gite, then 2 hours to the summit.
