The dune is approximately 300-400 meters wide, so it’s not a particularly large area for flying. If you can soar to a significant height, you might manage to fly along the length of the dune. However, the surrounding landscape is predominantly covered by trees and residential areas.
One-third of the dune is open towards the front with a small strip of beach, while the remaining two-thirds are bordered by a row of tall trees between the dune and the sea. These trees can generate potentially hazardous rotors, so caution is advised.
The best takeoff spot is on the section of the dune that is open to the front, located on the left side when facing the sea.
You can park here: Public parking, Fædrift 16, 7080 Børkop (https://maps.app.goo.gl/FNCMvCBEzjfQmoLs9) and take a max. 10 min walk to the top of the dune. The parking also has a toilet and is for free.
