One of the most popular and busiest flying sites in the area. It takes Westerly winds with a bit of North and South, those wind directions are prevalent in the area during the flying season. The site allows for both soaring and thermal flying. A prepared launch site is easy, but there's some bushes and short trees in the front so pay attention to those. If conditions are favourable, the site can be fairly crowded, with anything between 20 and 30+ gliders in the air around the weekends.
Launch is relatively easy, there is some bushes / trees near the end of the launch site but if you launch properly they won't be an issue whatsoever.
In favourable conditions (wind speed, direction) unlimited soaring is possible along the mountain ridge (North-South line). There's a steeper ridge NW of the launch site which guarantees lift if there's enough wind. Once you're in the air, you won't have any problems finding it. The site is suitable for beginner pilots, provided they're not on their own. It is easy to reach the landing site even in nil wind conditions, however, ensure that you land in the designated area to avoid major issues with the local folk.
The site is maintained by a local paraglider's association. If you're using it on a regular basis, contribution will be greatly appreciated - see www.spbw.pl for details (Polish only).
Just as most of the flying sites in the area, this is not an official site, all activities are undertaken at your own risk.
A fairly steep hike at times, it will take approx. an hour to get to the launch site, slightly southwest from the top of the mountain. Rigid 4x4 will get there with the proper driver. It is somewhat easy to get lost on the mountain paths, have a GPS with you if you're not familiar with the area. Cars can be left on a side of the road leading to the mountain, next to the landing spot - which will be marked on the map very shortly if it isn't already there.
For your own safety, it is not advised to fly alone if you're not already familiar with this location. If your skills are intermediate you can attempt a flight on your own. Make sure you know the landing spot (very specific!) as not all of the local inhabitants are friendly towards paraglider pilots.
